Southwest Conference on
Botanical Medicine
The sixth annual Southwest Conference on Botanical Medicine will be presented in Tempe, Arizona on April 7th and 8th.
This conference brings together nationally-recognized herbalists and physicians for an event designed for health professionals and lay students of herbalism.
Over 30 lectures on herbal medicine will be given, including talks on women's health, adverse effects of herbs, Tibetan medicine, the latest research on herbal constituents, therapies for hypothyroidism, glaucoma, cataracts, hepatitis C, healthy sexual function, lung cancer and respiratory ailments.
The program also offers herb walks at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix and a panel discussion on drug-herb interactions.
Speakers who specialize in therapeutic strategies for common disease, and who have an average of 20 or more years teaching and practitioner experience, will be giving the talks.
Paul Bergner, Amanda McQuade Crawford, Deborah Frances, ND, Bill Mitchell, ND, Michael Moore, and David Winston are just some of those participating.
The conference is open to those wishing to further their knowledge of herbal medicine.
Conference meetings will be at the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, and lodging has been arranged at a nearby Best Western Hotel in Mesa.
Meals are provided at the conference for an additional fee
