Board of Directors Served as Staff
In
1976, the first year of the Coop, the Board of Directors was the
primary staff, and the initial 300 households worked as volunteers.
Since that time we have grown to two stores in Albuquerque, one in
Santa Fe, and one in Gallup, with 196 full and part time employees.
Employment Opportunities
La Montañita is always looking for new staff members who
have experience in the natural foods retail industry or a strong
desire to learn about it. If you’re the kind of person who

After
an initial trial period, the Co-op offers its staff members the
following: a living wage, regular raises, and a staff wellness program,
which includes one visit a month (free of charge) to a participating
wellness provider in the community. Our benefits are open to both full
and part time employees and include dental and health insurance, paid
vacation and sick time (based on hours worked) and participation in our
401(k) retirement plan.
